I have a small pile of pictures from my time spent at BIKF this past week, they are all on my facebook account.
Let me say, the trip was beyond fantastic. The people I met and the people I flew with were amazing. I spent time in Singapore flying with the SG flyers, and Kuala Lumpur with the KL flyers and then 5 days at the Bintulu festival. If you look closely, you'll see many of the flyers in a one off, custom iQuad shirt done just for the events (as well as stickers).
Most of the photos I took are also on my mobileme site :
http://gallery.me.co...emonkey#gallery
But there's literally 100s on Facebook.
The southeast asia kiteflyers are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and they treated us so well for the entire trip. I could sit here and prattle on about their hospitality for hours on end!
The flying was great too tho, I have to say, it was often like flying in a sauna. The coolest it ever got over the whole trip was when it woudl dip under 30 degrees celsius in the evening with close to 100% humidity and on the flying field of Bintulu, it was often 35+ with the 100% humidity and likely over 40 at some times as we were flying on asphalt ( an old airport runway). So, uh, ya, HOT! But through careful management of water, sports drinks and buckets of suntan lotion, I emerged with no burn and no dehydration!
I'll have at least one if not 2 articles in Kitelife's next issue with all the stories but, wow, what a trip it was!
Bell Chui also shot this video of me and Albert Chen flying the Flying Wings Vamp Quad which was REALLY fun!

flailing is where people are in danger next to you, ... they look like its practice passing handles back & forth (early stages of success to be sure!)
Flailing is just over-control on steroids, inland it's needed more often than not, it's a lot of work to flail in high winds though.

Easily one of the best festival experiences I can remember. A little odd in some ways, I am so used to travelling with iQuad team mates, I kept looking for them!
