Hi Brett!
Lam will still be in Vietnam.
Scotty flies into PDX Friday afternoon, Ben gets in a bit later.....both to be picked up by Geezer, and on to LC.
At least that is the plan for now
I meet up with everybody in Seaside on Sunday. JB and TK get in on Monday, after One Sky in CO.
Are you coming up to Seaside???

I still plan on being at LC on Sat, and LB on Sunday.
Then back to work for a few days, and maybe Seaside on the next Sat.
Things are still up in the air, just not kites. (pun intended)

ISLAND QUAD will be doing demos at Lincoln City , last festival of the season for us

Saturday's rain, Sunday's waves, Monday turned out sooo nice!!! Thanks to all that came, despite the weather!! Watty, had a great time meeting you and sharing some info!! Skyhook, Katrina, and I had the beach at LC pretty much to ourselves all day Monday!! Beautiful!!! Too bad there was other stuff going on!! Thanks to all of you that helped out after the Waves came in, to help with line and all!! Your help was greatly appreciated by me!! Too Much Fun!! Nice to see old and new friends!!! My brain is too full of thoughts, it'll be days before it all comes out!!! Thanks!!!

it was a lot of fun despite the odd weather
wayne , i did not get to spend as much time with you as i wanted but our experiment with you on 80 ft lines and us on 120s worked well , even in those crazy winds
you did a great job , ever time we meet you, your flying has improved .... nice work.

Wouldn't you know it, the day after the festival was the best day. Light at first, then perfection. No mini tsunamis ruining the party. I had a great time flying with you Skyhook and Wayne. I was so happy to find that not everyone had departed for Seaside! 
Just pretend all my statements are prefaced with IIRC, AFAIK, IMHO, and end with "Just my $.02," okay?
(And stop asking for cookies, all you new darkside converts! It was all just a ruse to get you here!)

Terry - Thanks for figuring out a way to include me in the group fly Saturday!! It was raining - SO WHAT!! That was the first time to fly in a group!!!
Always was afraid of being too close to another after the stroke, so stayed apart to keep from being a problem!! Thanks for getting that off my back!!
Monday when there were only the three of us, Katrina tried to do some stuff with me and we found out that I could handle the lead position better than following!! OH NO!!! Does that mean I got to figure out a routine now??!! 
Will it ever end??!!

Monday was a beautiful day. One of those nice sunny October days you find now and then where the wind very slowly increases and without changing direction much. Attempting to make everyone else reading this jealous.
It was a perfect day and I greatly enjoyed flying with you both. It was a lot of fun.
I am going to be considered a fair weather only flier now as I believed the reports of heavy rain, high winds and high tides and bailed on Sat & Sun. Oh well.
