Anyone interested in doing a 9-11 fly at LSP?

*********I was just reminded that the Kites Over Cape May festival is tomorrow and that a number of Jersey Crew folks will be there. To them....Have a great time!!!!!
For anyone else who can't be there, myself included, lets fly at LSP for a few hours.

I'll be there by noon on Saturday.

Wish I could be there , however, Im staying close to home here in RI. A casual Newport fly is a rarity for me this season...
But I will find time to extend my lines all 4 of them.
Enjoy see you on Friday night in Cherry Valley, New York...

Barb & I are interested in raising a kite or 2 with you Saturday. I assume you will be near the playgrounds. It would be nice to have someone to fly with for the first time since Wildwood.

Wish I could have been two places at once but I had already committed to Kites Over Cape May.

It was a nice little festival. Not really enough beach for team flying as we were all on 50' lines, but it was alot of fun. People really seemed to dig the Revs and Rawveeda & Ant had quite a crowd watching their night fly! Many people approached all of us with questions throughout the day. Rev fliers in attendance consisted of myself, Revflyer, Antman, Rawveeda, Lisa Willoughby and Smitty.

I snapped a few pics which you can see here:

Hi all!

We had a fun time with the lightish but relatively steady breeze at Liberty. I tried my new Rev KAP setup on my kite and Laura's. It is the same as described in the topic:
http://www.revkites....c/4234-rev-cam/ but rubber-banded to a clothes pin or an aluminum bracket attached to a clothes pin.
For now, here is my 9-11 Memorial photo taken from my kite (inverted at the moment).
Attached Image
The leading edge is pointing to the gap where the World Trade Center Towers once stood.

I have several other photos from the Rev-Cam that I will post soon when I get some time.

I posted all the best stills from the videos shot by Laura and myself using my Rev KAP setup. They are in my members album at the following direct link:

http://www.revkites....album&album=470

2 images show the mounting I used for the earlier series taken 1-2 PM from the center of my non-vented Rev. For the later series taken 3-4 PM, I removed the aluminum brachet and rubber banded the camera on the clothespin, thus turning the camera base parallel to the plane of the kite. This is a direct application of the thread http://www.revkites....c/4234-rev-cam/ showing these tiny cameras and providing the inspiration for a way to accomplish one of my photographic hopes.

I don't plan on posting the videos because they are around 30 minutes of mostly spinning sky and ground, sure to give viewers motion sickness and I don't have the time to edit the good parts together. In the meantime, the stills provide a unique perspective on a great day of flying. Thanks to Rev Riders Laura and Rich for teaching me some of their moves. It was a blast trying my hands at the cool manuvers that the team flies so smoothly in performances. It was also good to meet Jose, an up and coming flyer who I am sure will soon be taking his place in team flying.

Always glad to see and fly with you. You are improving every time out there. It's awesome to see how confident you've become; nothing freaks you out any more!!!!
