I'm going to start a new thread re. Beck 2012!The now sadly ex dinosaur was on a tour of the UK and before it spontaneously combusted and was due to visit Colchester next, there has been talk locally of a Colchester Art group funding another, so it may yet rise from the ashes.

On another level, we are short of a team flier for the Friday - Monday last weekend of Berck and Tuesday - Monday Cervia due to work and domestic issues for a number of the usual team fliers.
Please PM me if you think that you could integrate with The Decs 'modus operandi' at short notice and attend these two events. We know that it can be done as at Long Beach 2010 but would appreciate it if only those with a serious commitment apply for this 'interesting opportunity'.
Attendance at Blackheath (Sundays) in the interim would be helpful... <grins>
Thanks

I think that John means 2011. However, on reflection more generally it seems that in a practical sense, getting 100 fliers to commit to an event ahead of the organiser agreeing to go ahead with the organisation of 'said' event is a bit of a 'lost cause' and on that basis I will withdraw from efforts to obtain the Kafka-esque result.
Personally I remain committed to the concept of the 100/108 fliers scenario, of course <grins>

Hi Alex,
Gerard had made it clear that he needed confirmation that 100 fliers would be available. Obviously I could not personally confirm that on the basis of Face Book and other places so his plan could not go forwards.
I am waiting to hear about plans for an event at the end of August 2011 but have no further information at this stage.
Best wishes

Happily we found a 'brave volunteer' for the Berck event so all being well we will be eight fliers Friday - Monday with the advance guard of four Tuesday - Thursday.

It's not the size of your Rev.. its how you use it.
Seven days without flying a Rev makes one weak.

Hi Felix, Yeah VERY light Winds
) Always light at Berck
Hmm!? Oh well, I had the light wind moment at Victoria Park today when it became evident that the kite had been in air moving in one direction but was abruptly in air moving in the opposite direction. Admittedly the wind speeds concerned were not very high but it was disconcerting to see the curvature of the lines reversing.
