Wow...just found this while searching http://kitefestival....rview/featured/ for daily activities.

the web site info for daily activities does NOT list EVERYTHING that is happening through out the week. I highly recommend that EVERYONE pick up a festival brochure at the info booth over on Bolstad. Or at The Kite museum. Also, I'll see if I can get a case of them to pass around too.

I'll look up my 2009 booklet and see what I can post, instead of from memory... LOL
like; Wednesday night is the WKA lasagna feed/raffle/auction. Thursday is the AOK BBQ/raffle. Friday is The Kite Museum AND Indoor comp at the Elementary School gym. (gym open Wed, Thurs, Fri for practicing/demos/fun/learning)

Our little effort can be found here...

Love the map, the scale of our field compared to fields A-E looks about right. <grin>

I liked the scale thing! 100 small kites flying together is a 'big thing' and I suspect that some of the big SLK fliers will acknowledge the significance of what we are doing. <grins>

We have a very good rapport with the show (big) kite fliers in North America... No shortage of appreciation.

More so, many of them allow iQuad to go and play/land on their giants. ;)

Hi Mario!

How was Parksville? Dave wonders if a banner made it to the Freeman's?

There is parking on both sides of the street on Sid Snyder. But it fills up, so I'd get there early. Then there's the Edgewater parking lot, but it's probably just for motel guests. Worldmark lot, you need a parking pass in the car. I'd ask for more, but we only have enough for one per unit.
Yes, then there' the kite museum. i'd guess it'll hold 20-25 cars? But Kay would probably want room for Museum visitors too.
There is a side street, So 11th, just to the south side of the Museum. Nothing there at all. It's kind of a rough road, but it looks like it may go almost to the dunes, discovery trail, and the beach. I should have checked it out more when when we there a couple weeks ago.
Overall, don't worry! I'm sure it'll be just fine! :)
I think I'll be at the Museum for most of the day, then go park at WM, and then walk down to the beach. :)
Hugs,
T
