I know when my kite bag was stolen I was looking everywhere.
I just think this person has no idea it's even gone yet, as he,she may only fly once or twice a year Posted Image

What a shame

This is where having your name on the sail would come in handy ;)

You just wonder what the situation was when the kite was left Posted Image

Posted Image Good point, I thought that's what they made Sharpies for. Come to think of it, I don't have my name on any of my kites. I think I'll at least put it on the sleeves, just in case I decide to sell one of them...........some day, because after a second thought, who's going to want to buy a second hand kite, with my autograph on it ?? Amy and I both had our kites stolen and in both cases they were found.

The support that we received from the kiting community was great.

I know this situation is just the opposite but we need to keep talking to everyone :)

It took me once a couple of weeks to notice that I have lost a kite that took me over 100 hours to build. I still don't know if I lost it in Denmark or Sweden. I lived in Southern Germany at the time. It apparently was never seen again despite phone calls, emails, rec.kite messages, kite club messages and etc. Forums did not exist at that time or were extremely rare.
