Let's do what we can to put 30 or more kites in the sky at this year's WSIKF!
The most Revs that I can confirm have been in the air at once is 42 (in Japan)... While don't think we can reach that, we should still have a TON of Revs at WSIKF.
With around 30 Revs, we can actually spell out 2-0-0-7, and then W-S-I-K-F in the sky with all of our kites, making a truly monumental presence in the sky.
The dynamics are getting it done are really simple... Each kite doesn't generally have to do much movement in order to get in position, and holds a hovering position, trying to stay in one place, within a 5' variance, give or take.
There's no checking in required, although you should feel free to post your participation or leave words of encouragement... To get involved, just show up at the event with a Rev 1.5 and 120' lines.
I imagine we'll make the attempt on Friday or Saturday... Just let us know you're there and keep an eye out for the mega fly when it starts.

Even if we don't make it, we'll fly a whole lot of kites, learn a bunch and have tons of fun doing it!
If you'd like some practice before hand, feel free to jump in with the general team gathering any time during the week if you're up for it, or talk with many of the experienced pilots who will be there... I think I can speak for most of us in saying that we really enjoy sharing information about tuning, use of frames, techniques, etc... Just chat us up during downtime between our flight sessions.

For the weekday sessions, I encourage pilots to take a good look at these resources:

Here are some sites for Long Beach info:
Long Beach Peninsula
WSIKF Home Page
World Kite Museum
Nearest major airport is Portland, Oregon (PDX)... Long Beach is roughly 1-1/2 hours west to the ocean, then just another 15-20 miles north from there... Notoriously good wind, TONS of beach, friendly spectators, friendly kiters, a killer night fly, awesome concessions, a beer tent and international guests, to mention some highlights.
Hope to see ya'll there.
