Heya Folks, thought I'd start a post dedicated to helping our brand new fliers find the important info they need to learn and keep flying. What topics and posts have been invaluable in ~your~ learning process when you started out? What do you think is essential for every new flier to know? Many new folks typically start showing up on the forum at this time of year, let's help them out. We've already talked about this stuff ad naseum. Let's point them in the right direction!

To get the ball rolling I'll contribute these links:

Aw! My very first article for Kitelife. Now, if I redid it, the bottom leaders would be faaaaaar shorter. ;-)

yeah, like a third to a quarter of the top's length!

Also, the top leader should extend almost all the way across the gap between the two attachment points. On longer throw handles you should have a longer leader. Longer throws are for lower wind and shorter line lengths *that means 3D flying to me*. The longer the top leaders happen to be, the further out-there you can reach without touching the raw spectra. (I don't use sleeving, another tangle point)

We never stop learning or evolving our techniques, revs are so much fun to share.
