I shot a few photos from 10 miles away, I then combined two for the moon over launch.

Beautiful Scotty!!!!
Going to The Cape to watch those lift offs, especially the night/early morning launches are spectacular.
I was lucky enough to have been living in Miami at the time of the first shuttle launch in 1980 or 81 (was in college then) and a bunch of us drove north to check it out.
10 miles away seemed like too far a distance to watch from but when you hear it and see it do it's thing.....WOAH!!!!!!!!!

Always thought I'd get to see a launch in person. Guess it won't happen before the program is finished.
Nice photos! Glad it worked out for you!
