Excellent news Bri, Felix, Ashley and everyone else
Just been able to finalise arrangements. Turns out I cannot take the Friday off work but figure that the evening drive north should not be too problematic.
Will probably have to leave mid afternoon on Sunday so hope that everything will have been achieved by then.

So far we have nineteen confirmed pilots with a few more still to confirm and any club fliers who might want to participate. I think the journey North may be putting a few off. There is still time for people to register. If anyone else is interested just pm me.
Hi Vince,
Are all the pilots comfortable in team flying and a range of wind speeds?
The drive from London to Washington Tyne and Wear is etched in my memory. In July the gradual lightening of the sky as one proceeds north has particular resonance.

Its fair to say we will have a wide range of ability and experience.
Its funny but the journey South has the same effect on me <grins>
I guess heading to the 'smoke' it just gets darker... <grins> whatever time of year!

Hi Baz
This postcode (DH4 7EL) will put you close (the road running along side the park) just keep going on that road for a couple of hundred yards then turn right on the roundabout opposite the monument into the park. Its well signposted and all being well I might be able to join you there for a bit of a fly.

Hi Vince just put the postcode into google maps
is it the car park with the building at the side of it or is it the car park by the pond/lake over to the right

It's not a bad journey Gary and if you just want to get a flight or use rail we will pick you up at the airport or station.
Ooo you have an Airport that far North ? well I never lol i may even look into that I'm sure Stephen wont mind bringing all our gear up lol
