Put me down as attendee - as much as I can promise this far in advance. Skill - intermediate but with no experience flying with others. (Probably lots of bad habits by now.
More tentative will be my wife, Sunny. She would be beginner. Still scared of a quad, but a reasonable dual line flier. If we can get some smooth winds between now and then, I will have her in the air for a first-time experience.

I just got a reservation at the Surfside condo (LB and OP has been booked up), a one bedroom on Friday night, then move to a 2 bedroom on Saturday night. On a waitlist to get the same unit type for 2 nights in a row so don't have to change rooms. Ocean Park is 13 miles north of LB. If Kay can lock in the indoor space at the OP elementary school for Saturday night, we'll be right up the road!
Had to edited to say won't be able to be there afterall
I hope someone takes lots of pictures and post some updates so I can see and read!!!
I'll miss being there with the gang!
Hugs,
T

Howard, I've got you and Sunny added to the tentative list, hope you can both make it.
Planning to have a more detailed schedule and sign up links available in the next day or two.

We've got a "skill set" list here:
http://www.revkites....ficulty-levels/
Everyone else who is on the tentative list, could you let me know which group you're most interested in for this upcoming clinic?
Naturally, you'll be able to change classes/groups as you wish based on the respective content, but there may be some scheduling overlap in order to make the best use of everyone's time, and to allow time for team portions (like the grid).

If there is room at the clinic for another novice, I'd like to attend. The term "novice" overstates my skills however!! I've only flown 3 or 4 times!! Perhaps he who knows the least will learn the most!! Anyway, this clinic sounds like a great way to get started. Mark Giadone

The distance between novice and intermediate isn't typically very far, you'll be amazed at how quickly you progress in just 2 days, I'm sure.

I've also drafted up a full schedule to make the best use of everyone's time, here's the practical summary...
- Friday 12p-5pm: Optional, no curriculum, just bonus time for one-on-one with instructors.
- Saturday 8am-5pm: Coffee/donuts meet and greet, classes, 1 hour lunch break middle of the day.
- Sunday 9am-5pm: Personal coaching, dedicated team flying, grid practice, 1 hour lunch break middle of the day.
Note: Fliers and instructors may go later than 5pm if weather and daylight allows, but it'll be casual, interactive learning outside the main curriculum.
I'll send the full calendar to folks upon sign up via email, along with a couple of handy references (line management and optional "homework").

Is there still room for a novice?
I'd have to check into getting a ride down...hopefully some other BC fliers are heading down and someone would like some company (and gas money of course!).
Its gonna be between this and NABX for me and, if I can get the arrangements made for Long Beach, the Rev clinic may just edge out NABX by a cm or two.

Personally, I'm glad it is 2 months away, too much to do in the meantime.

Order of requests, and particular equipment is important, since our property can handle only two 25 ft TTs plus one shorty, or three motor homes, or some other combo that will have to be vetted (tricky backing in v. limited maneuvering room is the problem.) And, we will be claiming the prime spot for ourselves.
If this will help you, please personal email me with specific equipment.
P.S We could also handle a few tenters, if that is really what you want to do... shared shower and toilet available! Seems like most kiters are better equipped to motel.
In whatever case, we'd be happy to meet and help you.

Small problem with the payment link - that it automatically classifies all members of a "single", "couple" or "family" at the same level. The problem is that the level should be determined by individual registration, not by the choice of payment for one, couple, or family. (OK, strictly speaking there is no problem for an individual.)
Assuming it will be worked out, I'll sign us up at the higher of the two levels, but Sunny will be Novice.
Shoot - this whole software development cr** is difficult, ain't it.
Hey, cool anyway John. Thanks.
