Ok: No Indoor, so if there is no wind we'll fly our indoor kites out front of the Tiki bar and if there is wind we'll put lights on the outdoor kites and fly in front of the Tiki Bar anyway.

Update:
I have learned that Multiline team will be offered as an exhibition in the official Eastern league competition, http://www.easternleague.net
Teams will need to register under the "Open Team Train" discipline on the registration form.
Any other takers besides the REV RIDERS?????
Multiline team is NOT recognized by the AKA: this is our way to get it on the map. So get a few flyers together and show how much fun it is to fly team and register. If you don't know where to start and want to learn, perfect. We are offering a team clinic/seminar on Friday the 15th on the beach.

I'm offering my experience as a long time team flyer and competitor to all who want to learn.

Who is interested in attending a team seminar/clinic?
What topics would most you be interested in learning?

I want to get a draft started as to what will be covered.

For starters, we will cover some of the basic team moves available on the revkites.com link below.
http://www.revkites....main/Animations ...

Take a look. It will be most helpful in recognizing the terminology used in identifying some basic moves.
As far as individual skill set to perform these moves, I don't think that should discourage you from attending. The only prerequisite is wanting to learn team flying basics. Attend anyway, then you will have a better understanding of the individual skills required to becoming a team flyer.
Please free free to contact me with questions or suggestions.
Until then, stay warm and happy holidays. B)

Our cheapie flight doesn't get in until Friday evening so we won't be able to make the team clinic. The three of us have been practicing flying team. If Multiline team will be offered as an exhibition, do we have to register and PAY?? If you need more teams to make it a good demonsstration then we are interested but we can't afford to pay for three entries in a competition in which we're not competing.

That's an incredible price MelPosted Image! It will cost more than that one way to drive over from the east coast of Fl. It's almost half that in tolls alone.
I'll be there Fri-Mon. I'm sure looking forward to seeing everyone.Posted Image

Looks like the weather in TI this week is in the 60's moving on up to the 70's. That's the right idea, just keep getting warmer, we are only a few weeks away!

This time of year there are always those cold fronts that move in for 3 days. Nice this is even when they hit, there is usually at least one good day out of two. But there is also a good chance it will be warm all weekend! Posted Image

Well, tomorrow we'll find out if my wife can get coverage for work for the time of this fest and the following week. If so, it's all systems go for a mid-January kite retreat + family vacation. :blue-cool:

The airfare is really good right now, and my finger is poised over the <purchase> button as soon as I get the all clear.

Now to get a hotel...

If the Thunderbird has rooms, they are fairly inexpensive (I think about $89/night), right on the beach and were most people will be staying.

I'll check it out...I have no idea what the hotels are like down there. I have to make sure it's good enough for me, my wife, and daughter. We're all coming out, and after the weekend heading to Disney for a few days.

Hey Jeff!
Great news!!!!
The Thunderbird is great but they are straight up rooms.
Immediately next door to the Thunderbird on the north side is the Best Western Sea Castle Suites.
They offer suites (duh) and is affiliated with the Thunderbird so give them a call and check it out.
Glad you're coming!

Link here to the Thunderbird here............Thunderbird

The Thunderbird is dated but the rooms are clean. Many rooms have a kitchenette. You may want something a little better. The Bilmar might be something you want to look into. It used to be a hotel but they renovated it a few years ago and sold each room to private individual. Those rooms are now rented out through the management company. Members of TISKK were given a tour of the rooms. They are nice, plasma TVs, kitchens, etc. I have no idea what the price is. As mentioned, check out the BW as well. All hotels are right there at the beach.

Melanie's birthday is just a few days before TI. We will be celebrating on the Saturday night. You're all invited. Melanie says Alden can't pick the restaurant.
