We'll be having a Fighter Kite (no sew) Workshop. There is a small cost for the workshop.

Gumby will be bringing his love of fighter kites to the festival. I'll be putting out a sign up soon!

There's a new link for the Saber II raffle, and this is it:

http://www.easternle...KC/saberII.html

Tickets have been on sale for just over a week, and despite a snag with the website, we are almost sold out. If you are interested in dual-line sport kites, take a look. All money from the raffle goes directly to support the Treasure Island Sport Kite Championships . . . and someone is going to get one awesome kite for a mere $10.

Well that certainly didn't take long!
Sounds like it was a real hard sell!

Mike not able to make it but got to fly with Jeff, Isaac Trejo, John Bloomfield and his son Chris. Great fun and beautiful unseasonably warm weather for Chicago.
Flew at Northerly Island with a great view of Lake Michigan, Soldier Field and downtown Chicago.

pardon the crappy cell phone pic.......Glory_in_Chicago.jpg

Fly this weekend????? OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That Decs kite turns up everywhere. Great to see!

I notice that the guy flying has arms down in 'long arm' position. Left handle approaching horizontal. <grins> EDIT OK 45 degrees but you know what I mean...

hmmmm, I guess it wasn't sooo bad missing the Chicago fly (I live 150 miles south of Chicago and couldn't make it this time).
I'd rather wait and collect directly from you, Laura. :)

Love that kite Felix.
It seems lately to be the first kite out of the bag every time.
