I've been digging around and haven't seen a single Rev without screen installed between the leading edge and the sail. Even photographs of the Neos Omega show screening; seems like this was a very early early design decision that has never changed.
Has anybody ever tried mounting their leading edge to their sail without using that 1 inch wide ventilated panel? What differences did it make in the kite?
Adding LE without screen... anybody tried it?

The Indoor Rev has no screening on the LE; neither do the Speed Series.

Our dear friend, Rick Rondinone, who has since passed away, made gorgeous "art" Rev's and never used screening or a bridle and they flew great.

The Blast, Power Blast 2-4 and Power Blast 4-8 don't use screening either.
