Having a WINDerful time at MOTS 31st Annual International Kite Festival... (MilwaukeeWI)

Today I ran into this strange dude sitting on a picnic table all by himself... Dazed, and with an ice bag on his head (?) just talking silly...

Then he says he's a member of iQuad... Come-on!... Who's he trying to fool?... Do I look THAT stupid?

And I did see Ben on the cam although he moves too quickly! ;D

Looks like it's gonna be a ZENtastic Day today... at MOTS!

Okay, stop it!!!

I only had yesterday morning available for MOTS. Got there very early, but Ben said it was too windy for the Zen ... wouldn't even get it out of his kite bag. Stayed the morning, watched the megafly, and then headed for home; only to find out this morning that he broke out the Zen in the afternoon and used it to teach the walk up public. Talk about bummed.

Well, at least I got to fly one of Ben's other kites during the morning ... didn't even have to drag out my own.

Hope you had fun flying the Zen ... just don't tell me about it!!!

Cheers,
Tom

I learned that 10 pounds of metal, gravity, and my head don't mix very well.

Just ask Gino. We had a contest...he won.

helping set up the field on friday afternoon. Driving those fence posts into the ground with the metal tube thing with a handle on each side. Didn't want to make Cosca look bad so I let Brett help me out. We had a good rhythm going then the edge of the pounder caught a tooth on the post and flipped down and nailed me on the head...

Gino did it about 10 min earlier and he definitely got it worse. He clearly set the standard pretty high. We shared the ice pack for the remainder of the day.

Hi JD-
Ouch!!!
Hope the organizers bought you guys a few rounds to "ease the pain". It's better to get a headache that you've "earned" than from an accident!!! ;)

JD, you may be too young to remember this. It was a big hit.
