Just got a thank you email from a chap who got towed back into portsmout by one of my boats yesterday evening - his engine had broken down and the wind ran out.......

Ill-equipped then. He should have taken a bigger bucket of wind with him?

I am in the area if any one is meeting up over the weekend. Sunday would be ok if the weather plays ball. Might need some directions though. And not too early. Bears don't like early.

Oh well if there are bears in the woods it rather changes things. Wouldn't want to miss such a rare event. I will see if I can jiggle things around.

It was great to see you Baloo and Una again too :)

Thank you for the doughnuts, and to see all your new toys :D

The rev II 'indoor' proto. with race frame is so feather light and a dream to fly B)

Pur enjoyed her outing as well ~ she's like flying nothing at all

Good to meet olde and new faces, and to see what's in your quivers. ;)

Thanks also go to Mike & Tine and their pink themed cup cakes, and for putting on the air display - the Red arrows were awesome ;)

Very sweet ocean breezes today, which made for a great days flying fun in the sun with so many colourful kites.

[the dude on the bike was hilariously grumpy at "all the kites... so many of them"]

Yeah we got a good deal from the RAF :)

The Vulcan, Lancaster, Hawk, Bi-planes, Tri-plane, Lynxes and B17 were a nice touch too...

Nice to meet Una, Chris and Gossip.

Still struggling to think of why I'm having some of these problems (and it's not all about my attention span!)... Though I got better as the wind picked up towards the end of the day.

Roll on next weekend.

I just think you need to increase the ratio of pink to white in your wardrobe ... noticeably better today I thought

Great day again today .. cant believe we have been treated to 4 straight Sundays of perfect weather .... getting my sowester and oilskins ready for Portsmouth ....

Team stuff was great fun and Choccy's micro-rev still has me smiling .... might have to make one of those with some pink cloth I have left over

Great day again yesterday.... good to see new and old faces again
A combination of individual flying, pairs and team throughout the day.

I was so impressed by Mike's buzzer kite that I can't wait for christmas - order is going in ;) :D

Some surprise fun was had on Tine's gift to Mike - SS :D

Jonesey got to test fly his stack of invisibles which plays tricks on your eyes
and he totally failed to "pentangle" our stack of 5 quad 2s which gave him more reasons to grin.

Well done to us all for staying in the sky during our team meddly~muddly. :)
It was my first time leading a follow with 'novice' flyers in a team of this size.
It was good to put theory into practice.
So thanks for giving me the opportunity to add to my own learning curve too.

Oh and BigBri's box of chocolates went down a treat, thanx Bri ;)

Don't suppose any of you found a black winder on the field ? - mine fell out my back pocket - must get some deep pockets like JB's ;)

No matter if no one found it as I've just taken receipt of a surprise collection of hand made winders :D

Yup, a bit more wind, and it would have been 'Chocc's away"! LOL

Anyway, see some of you at Bristol, and then back to SB!

Speaking of which SKF will be having their 'Better flying' day there on Sunday Oct 11th. So, we'll get a chance to mix it up with 1, 2 and other types of 4 liners then! Come along, try something different, and help those less skilled too. The more the merrier!

Or you could come to Weston-Super-Mare and watch the best quad fliers (at least those that still compete) in Europe at EuroCup 09.
