I am concidering buying some weights for my 1.5, and I was wondering..... Wich flies better, the weights or a vented kie? Wich is better for me?
I live in an area with lower wind, but I occasionally travel to places with high wind.
Hello Spencer, (This is Steven from WSIKF) I just bought a vented Barresi for myself and I am thrilled with it in wind over 8mph or so and have flown it in winds over 20 and it's very controllable and is very responsive. Although I haven't tried it with the weights yet I understand that they assist with tricks, not so much with flying the kite. The idea with regular flying is to keep it light so a light frame might be a good investment instead of weights. Hope to see you at Longbeach, keep flying! Steven (St.Even)

I can tell you how I make a decision like this. Weights are very cheap. Vented maga bucks. Get the cheap weights. Later when you get a vented you can use the weights with the vented too.

Vented flies better than full sail in gusty wind. I live inland in UK wins are nearly allways gusty.
If I could only have 2 kites it would be the 2 B's.
Dont know what your wind is like Watty, Go for a B, comes with 2 + 3 wrap frames and some weights etc if wind is gusty get the V which comes with 4 wrap only (think this is right)

To be honest, I've spent next to no time playing with the weights, sooooo far.
Yeah, I noticed that you need some shape up lately!!!

Nothing stopping you from making the weights or selling them (not patented), but they are a Rev product when discussed here.
