Hi Guys,

We are giving away a your choice of a couple of kites, however the one that I think would interest you is a Revolution 1.5 SLE 2009. If you win you have the choice of either the Standard or the SUL for light wind. The competition is open worldwide, we will post the kite to you globally at our cost.

Full Details: Win a Nirvana SE or a Revolution 1.5 SLE!

Note: I have cleared that i'm permitted to post this with "johnnmitchell" before posting, the kite is original, we don't give away knock offs ;)

Good luck to all, and watch out when flying your rev one handed  Perhaps you know this guy Promethius?

Regards,

.Joel

Yeah, I know of Promethius (Steve Donovan)... He's an infamous character, to say the least.

Wow, I posted over there on the Extreme forum too...

I'm a little surprised Promethius hasn't posted to take a bite out of me.

I hear he's my #1 fan. :D

Egos can be the death of many fun activities.

I still remember the first time someone asked me for advise,..
I turned around to see who they might be talking to, 'cause it couldn't possibly have been me! <LOL!>

It's just a kite not hydrogen bombs.

Some of the best times were when nobody knew who I was,
man what a hoot those flying sessions or competitions turned out to be. Such excitement, my face hurt from all the smiling.

Oh,
and I can fly with great control one-handed,
but not even a good six seconds worth with one Rev in each hand! That is the mark of somebody who has practiced with this goal in mind each session.

YES, I'm envious of that Steve's 2-at-once skill. I'd like to throw an perfectly flat axel an inch above the ground just like Scottie Weider too. I'd like to flip my kite inside-out (wound-up into the flying lines) resting on the ground like Lam or Shawn. That is at least partly due to the french bridle styles they use.

Though I hear many kiters are quite good at dropping bombs!

And for thoes that have read that thread, I have been tring to get the one handed stuff happening and oftan read up on stuff here, but I want to win the SLE SUL :P

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the welcome to a couple above. I spend a bit of time reading this forum on my phone, thus I don't post much here as typing is not the most fun on a little keyboard. Some good info here, i've been digging through for which rev to buy. Now i'm just stuck on colour :D I figure i'll slip it in the bag with my kitesurfing kites so in summer when it's sub 12 knots and crappy for kiteboarding i'll use the Rev on the beach instead. I had a HQ Baby Tanna, Prism Nexus and Quantum however I got bored of the two lines very very quickly. The few goes of other people's revs has my interest sparked.

Regards,

.Joel
