Well I think we managed to help Mr Git celebrate his birthday with style, albeit a little belatedly. I was delighted to discover Mr Git is older than me, making him an Old Git I believe. But then when I got home the Rear Admiral reminded me which year it was that I was born in and the bubble was burst - I guess age is taking me well into the realm of forgetful moments. The birthday pressie got an airing, although Mr G thought it was a little 'tame' to start with. The look on his face when he gave his new shockwave a little dab on the top lines, and he disappeared down the field towards Gosport, was a sight to behold! Mr Jones also spent a considerable time showing off his new pink iPhone, although not as long as it took Sunbeam (aka Hippy Chippy) to set up.

Nearly everyone had a go at team flying. For some it was a brand new experience which makes it truly amazing that we even completed a couple of "Benefits" with out anyone crashing. The downwards turns on "Follows" were,.. how can I put this.., stimulating. The sudden acceleration caught a few off guard causing multiple rear-end shunts - the sort of thing you see on the M4 on a Friday evening :)

Was also good to meet some brand newbies - Hippy Senior, who is just starting on the path to addiction, and Winston (? did I get that right) who liked the look of it all so much that he has put himself down to be next with the loan kit.

A fun day for all.

Hear hear!

Just to clarify on what Sailor was saying: I only crash into other people's kites. It's other people who crash into my car :P

(yes, it was me that was making those down turns interesting ... still can't work out why, though. Oh well. Practice, practice)
