Cloth is being printed this week for the Celtic Rainbow. We have ordered enough to fill the three orders that have already be placed plus two extra. If you want one there are two unspoken for, they are available... But they won't last. :) I am afraid two may not have been enough.

From the first 12 kites that were delivered to our BKF I have one (1) Earth One and one (1) Lava Gold left on hand for immediate delivery. They can be had in time for WSIKF if I get the order before 10:00 PM Monday! Pics of these two are with this post.

We expect to be able to ship this second run by the end of Aug.

Hope his helps.

This is Tom McAlister from Highline Kites and the Berkeley Kite Festival. Though I am not a regular contributor here, Lolly from the factory suggested that let you in on a fantastic surprise we have planned. A limited run of BKF Custom Rev 1.5 SLE's. It is a project that I have wanted to do for a long time and I am extremely excited about it.

Not sure where the best home for these is but here are three pics of the finished kites in action. I finally got to see these three in action on Saturday.

Earth and Lava Gold are available of immediate delivery!

Cheers,

Tom

By now all of the pre-ordered BKF Rev's have been shipped and or delivered.

After the first batch of kites were shown at the our BKF, some fliers commented to me that they wished we had done some customs with more purples and blues in them. After thinking about it I couldn't resist adding some new colors into the mix. The results are two new Celtic customs with purple-blue fades. In the first version the fade runs across the panels, much like the first run Celtic Rainbows. The second version has the purple-blue fade running from the top to bottom of the panels. This version intrigued me so much that I tried a third design with a red-orange-yellow (Fire) fade running from the top to bottom of the panels.

Both of the Purple-Blue fades arrived this week. We are still waiting on the Red-Orange-Yellow kites.

"Long John" in the Open Topic "I think my Berkeley kite may be here" thread suggested that this thread would be the best place for my mock-up images of these new BKF Custom Rev's.

Here are mock-ups of the three new colors:
  • Celtic Ice Fade Sunset (Fade runs top to bottom) Celtic_Ice_Fade_Mock_up.jpg
  • Celtic Ice Fade (Fade runs across the kite) Celtic_Ice_Sunset_Mock_up.jpg
  • Celtic Fire (Fade runs top to bottom) Celtic_Fire_Mock_up.jpg
Thanks,

Tom McAlister

Here are mock-ups of the three new colors:

  • Celtic Ice Fade (Fade runs across the kite) Celtic_Ice_Sunset_Mock_up.jpg

I should note that both of the Celtic Ice Fades don't seem quite so dark in person. Especially of course when back lit. :)

Cheers,

Tom M.
