Dear Family as I said I won't let this go and our friend Jose Sainz has agreed to make a special single line kite for Bristol which we
will also auction off on this web site, also Felix has put into motion some things which we will work out in the next few days and when
I have all this info I will let you know........... B) Also bazzer is working on some ideas which he and I will use to raise money and I'm
sure we as a Family can raise the money to help Bristol keep on going....... :blue-love: As of this writing I am setting up a pay pal account for all the money we raise for Bristol Kite Festival, as you can see I'm flying by the seat of my pants but I'm going to do my part for this event...... Ben :blue-cool: :blue-cool:

With JB's raffles lately and other day-to-day expenses $10.00 is tops for me no matter how special it is. Sorry, others probably are fine with $20.00.

Bart

Thanks for the response. I can understand 'Raffle Fatigue'.

It's not just Bristol....

Ok, it's only a little festival here compared to Bristol, but the council pulled our funding, so it's been tough. But we'll be there this weekend!

Hope to see a few of you!

And yes, I'll have a couple of tickets as/when.
No problems getting it up - It's using it properly that's the problem!

Have a great day.Hope Mr sunshine shows up.Wish we had known about the Festival sooner.Could have organised a lads trip down im sure.

Your correct about local funding of festivals, its not just the big venues that need support.

Avril and Company took such good care of us last year, so I sent my squid in.
Great festival and great people. I wish I had more to send.
Good luck to Bristol.

ON another note.......................

I read earlier today that the organizers of the Boston area sport kite competition, aka BASKC, have canceled this years event due to lack of funding.

Bristol was an amazing festival last year so let's hope it doesn't go away! Avril and company made everyone feel very welcome and talk about spectators, thousands even in the rain on Sunday morning. If you ever have the opportunity to attend don't miss it!

Ben, you guys at Revolution are the best. It would be nice to see other manufacturers pitch in as I saw tons of their product being sold by the vendors there too!

Thanks for posting the link Dave.

Good Luck. I truly hope it's a success.

Hi, as a member of the organising committee of BIKF I would like to thank you for all your generous offers. The raffle ideas are great as the funds come in before the festival and that is when they are needed. Kites for the auction are great but as I am sure you realise, if the festival does not go ahead then there will be no auction!

As a kite maker myself I have realised that it is better for me to sell a kite and give that money to the festival or find a way of raffling it before the festival.

I hope this makes sense to you all. All the best. Nick.
