We're all Rev fliers here right? Isn't that all that matters? Can't we all just get along? Obviously I wasn't trying to offend anybody by flying my kite over Miss Liberty. That kite has the Japanease Sun on it and it has some writing on it and a dragon too. In my opinion, it's just a nice looking kite and that's it. Nothing to offend anybody and I don't think that anybody would think it is offensive. Especially if you realize that the writing says "Happy Birthday" on it because that's the kite I MADE for my boyfriend. So let's continue posting cool Rev pictures over differet monumental land marks and just have fun with it. Isn't that what we're all here to do?

Well Ang - I think the Lady Liberty/Rev pics are FAR AND AWAY the best so far (no offence to any of the others, by the way!). As I mentioned before - I have never seen Liberty from this angle and can't believe how impressive it looks. It's so BIG! LOL

I SO need to get to the US sometime - the list of things I NEED to see first hand just grew. You better be there with yer Rev, Ang so you can recreate the image for my and MY camera! :)

Thanks for the comments. Just let me know when you're coming over and we'll get some major flyin' time in and recreate some of those shots.

But, I must say that those twin tower pictures are pretty spectacular and I think most Americans will agree that seeing Revs over those buildings is very surreal. Nice pics, and thanks for posting them on THIS forum.

Happy flying to everybody. Now get off the computer and get a kite out! hehe

Hello Gary, cant wait to meet ya,herd alot about ya from my partner, anyways,,,,THANKS FOR THE TIPS AND STUFF.

The Pier,i will post the picture of the thing you can walk on.Will hopefully do later today.Dont want to give to much away as i bet our Hosts havent ever seen such a fine example  .
Ther was a fire down ther many moons ago,but cash flooded into that area in the 80s and its part of a, ,The Way we Where visitors center,,,trip back in time thing they do.
Before you say it,thers no Tardis or Star Treck gizmos :) ,Just a look back in time with period costume and stuff.

I bounced at the pier Night Club for near Ten years.Which is situated at the side of the WIGAN PIER and The George Orwell Pub.Great dance club and a real crowd puller in the late 80s and 90s.Still is.
I think its WIGAN CASINO you may be refareing to.It burnt down early eighties,or even 1979/80.I went to school with the clown they got for burning it down. The Hart Of Northern Sole was the CASINO.Its still a big deal around here and allnighters and stuff still are regular, but at diffrent venues now,
Remember the theme to, HAWAI FIVE O,,its called

THE WIGAN JOKER.
PICTURES TO FOLLOW SOON.

TTFN GARY,,da,da,dada, daaa,da,,,da,da,da,da,daaaa, hows it go

BRIAN...

I will admit to being a soul boy back then :P but as london is the center of the known universe and wigan is north of Waford Gap I never got there   could'nt speak the lingo

S'the same for us here, Aero. We get so much TV from you and see so many movies, that the NY skyline is as familiar to us as to you - well, certainly to those of you non-New Yorkers.

Every time I see The Towers it gives me a shiver.

I used to travel to NYC alot. I have friends and ex lovers there. I can't express how wrong the place felt the first time I went back after 911. :(

I know at first many TV shows with the former skyline were getting pulled from the airwaves, or edited without the towers, in an effort to be considerate of the trauma people were going through, but now it makes me glad to see them on tv, movies and photos like Jay's out there.

Some where I saw a photo of some one either flying or holding a REV 1.5 next to the Great Wall of China.
Was it Troy Gunn?

I love this topic. I have gone nuts looking for a great shot flying by the Cape Fla. Lighthouse(Miami). No luck yet Grrrr. I want one with the Shuttle taking off in the background. I will try again next launch.

I hope you are trying to get a photo of your REV today, if the Space Shuttle is launched in the background.

It went off and it would have been a great pic... but. I was at work(at the space center). I didn't think they would like it if I left the control room and went outside and flew my kite :kid_devlish: . I will have to catch one that launches on a shift other than mine. I was sure thinking about it. :sq-cry:
