Just 2 months to go before the "festival with a view", perched high on the Dunstable Downs. For one day only, on Sunday 19 July, this event has always been a great demonstration to the public and kite flyers alike. In 2008 it was one of the first venues where the mega-fly grid concept was tested and refined.

What will 2009 hold out? [Yes, a question - I don't know the answer :P ]

To quote the official website as of today:

Acts confirmed for 2009 include
TBC

So who else will be heading up there (either flying or as spectator)? I'm hoping to use it for a spot of kite evangelism - modestly biased in favour of Revs, so have put in an order for fine weather and friendly winds.

See you there?
Andy

Mind you, the dunstable festivlette is only one day, so you probably don't need to stay in a hotel Mr J

Go to Dunstable, head up hill. When you are as high as you can get look out for lots of thing that have got higher and you have arrived.

Alternatively ask a sailor to give you a ride. ;)

I'lol have you know I never Pose! We could always play with the Blasts on Saturday. FLIC and us flew them at Sunderland in some really light wind. I still think it's an appropriate name for a kite.

Interlopers allowed? I'm assuming it's 'P' for Photography. My camera barffed taking a pic of the Red Arrows flypast a few weeks ago, so I think it needs some remedial practice before Sunday...... B)

Oh yes, and this Sunday's weather forecast looks pretty rank!
