Amazing they can make their own music video's but if you put a song in a kite video it gets muted for infringement

... Around 1990/1991 a strip of Kevlar was added underneath the Dacron where the rods cross. This reduced the rods rubbing on each other. ... You should be able to find this Kevlar under the Dacron on all REVs presently made and since about 1991.

John,

I apologize!!! I thought you were talking gibberish. Turns out I'm the dunce on this one. Yep, I just had to look. Never knew a little Kevlar patch was hidden in that spot. Neat!!!
What do you think, John? Think I'm the only one who didn't know it was there?

Thanks,
Tom

Your not the only one tom. I didn't know it was there either. And I missed that bit in Johns post. Now a patch like that makes sense - much better than an extra itty bitty of plastic.

Gibberish? Who me? Only around the 1st April, then you must be very careful because I just might lead you totally astray.

I would guess a high majority of the REV fliers never knew it, even those who made their own REV copies.

They aint been paying attention then, it has been mentioned several times on this forum, however it does not prevent the outer Dacron wearing through but does delay spar wear.
There is not much fitted to the Rev without a purpose.

I knew it was there, because without the rubber cap, I've worn down to that layer.
