I would like to OFFICIALLY announce, The camper that I am borrowing from the parents will be parked in the lot just east of the beach, so if anyone needs a place to hang, put sandwiches or cold drinks in the fridge, need a nap, or what ever, the camper is the OFFICIAL Revguild WSIKF clubhouse. It will be open for any fellow Rev pilot who asks, not just Revguild members!


Sweet.
Now, can you camp out there at night, or is it for day time hangin out?
I'll stop by with a six pack or something. B)

I am hoping I can camp there for the week, as long as the authorities don't kick me out. Should be easy to find a place to park overnight anyways. I may need the use of a shower at someones hotel room, or I will get kinda ripe..... :cat_sick:

I see in the Kitelife article, referenced by Theresa, that Monkey suggests a walkie talkie. Quote "Your standard Cobra or Midland radios work great."

Do they all use the same frequencies so they are compatible?

I'm planning to be at WSIKF to fly & yes, 40+ fliers does sound like a lot to be able to hear the calls. I was lucky at Long Beach to be just to the left of John so I heard everything perfectly.

What should I buy? I could spend a few bucks to make the mega mega team fly at WSIKF go a little easier. B)

I got a pair of Walkie Talkies and a nice gaming headset to blast out the camands a bit to people near by. ;)

Still looking like 40+ pilots for WSIKF, SO glad we got to put some people in a grid last weekend, now people know how easy it can be. :)

iQuad should have 4 there on Monday, the other 2 arriving on Thursday, all leaving on Sunday.

I think that this following quote about the 'grid' should be written in stone or something: 'now people know how easy it can be'.

Any chance anyone is going to pass PDX around 12:30 pm or so on Sunday, August 16th on your way to WSKIF? I just found out that my ride won't be in the area, so I need to find a different way. Worst case, I'll rent a car.... but it would be a bit easier with someone else, who knows where they're going. ;)
