We typically take the north side of the beach access, end of the road near the water...

Playing it by ear, I guess. ;)

En route now with Ezequiel, Monkey and Theresa, stopping in Astoria (Costco) for Wed night social supplies, then on to LB, probably on the beach around 1pm, ready to fly!

Geezer is headed to the airport now to meet with Weider, Laura, etc so they can caravan.

Jeff and Donna McCown arrived last night and stopped by the house, might be on the beach today as well. :)

WOW!!! What a day! I was the first one on the beach this morning, and wind was real light, so I played around with my std. B-Series and race rods, on 30ft lines. Then Paul showed up and we got on our 120' lines and had a blast in the light wind, while the wind slowly started to come off the water. Today blew my mind since it was the day before the festival, and by the end of they day we had at least 10 revs in sight, and few other things in the sky. This is a rev-fest :D

Went out to the beach late morning. Watty and Paul were there. Lynn and I flew with them as well as Tom King. Came back from lunch to find John B, Monkey and the rest.

What an afternoon. You're right Watty, it is a rev fest.

And yes, iQuad will have a very nice, large area right next to field "A", next to Ray Bethel's field. Guess where the crowd will gather. Heck, after one of the flys today with about ten of us, we turned around and there was a crowd, and the festival doesn't start until tomorrow.

Should be great.

I will be joining the festivities tomorrow! If all goes as planned, Rich and I will be there around noon. Now to take a shower and go to bed, I hope I can sleep!

Winds were awesome yesterday here in Vancouver and supposed to be good today again too. I'm getting in some last minute flying before heading down to join the party for a Thursday morning start.
See you all soon! :)

I'm a complete newbie to Rev's, but really want to try one out and see what they can do. I'll be there on Saturday just for the day, with the family in tow. From the sounds of it I may have a hard time finding a place to park that's in walking distance :-). How early do I need to be there on Saturday in order to get close and get a chance for a "try before you buy" experience?

Also, are there places ready to sell Rev's there? Do they have "killer show deals" or do the up the price to take full advantage of the impulse buy :-)

I can hardly wait too and I'm likely to just watch.

earlier the better for parking. I'd shoot for 8 and stay all day.

there will be plenty of revs, don't worry...You'll fly one. ;)

Yes there are shops selling revs, though we've caused them to sell out before. haha.

regular MSRP I believe. Though they'll probably have some festival specials.

see you soon!

Today was great! Heavier winds everyone was sporting a full-vent with 4 wraps. It was the first day of the festival, and the crowd was focused on us :D. We had up to 20 revs flying together at once today.

Sorry guys, internet here is quite slow, so it will be a pain in the a$$ to upload daily pics. It took me an hour to download Quicktime DX

Yeah, that's what I tell people too when I would rather be out having fun with my friends....

Just joking with ya. Have fun! Send some wind here for the evenings please. Not a breath again tonight, but a nice breeze all day outside the windows at work.

Thanks JD! With you guys demoing the Rev's I'm surprised they can build enough to keep them in stock at any show :-).

I'm an early riser, but my family likes to sleep in a bit (especially during summer), so getting there by 8:00 will be difficult. We'll probably make it by about 9:00. I can't wait to watch you guys put on a show.

What time to expect to have the "mega-fly"? I'd like to be there for that, but I'm guessing the kids will be burned out by early afternoon and ready to head home.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the club.

I'm only guessing, but i'd think the 'official' mega fly would be in the afternoon sometime. Possibly a show closer but maybe sooner. You'll probably see some practicing of it through the day though. ;)

* I heard yesterday they already had 20 people....
