Anyway most of them are OK, there's only a few on there who seem to think that flying a Rev is boring.. don't know why maybe they are boring people!

Hi All, just got back from Saturday Blackheath.
Excellent day had by all

The Decs where flying with 8 !!!

The Flying Squad, flew with 6 ( we had more but Andy Phelps, Luca & TC where busy doing other things)

Carl was flying a really nice Rev 1 - very special Custom

Then all 25 flew a mega team which was very good, and the music worked nice too.

Unlikely to be video as Jade, Dave Ellison etc where all flying in the mega team.

These mega teams are really starting to work well, the grids are coming as standard.

We'll pop a report and pictures on The Flying Squad web site ASAP.

looking to add some other dates too, so will update as well.

We intend to !!!

But we want to do a routine, and The Flying Squad as you probably know dont do the usual fly around with some music on kind of stuff, we spend months getting fully choreographed routines, so what we are doing right now is getting each of the team to try the kites, pass them round at festivals COME ON DOWN TO DUNSTABLE SUNDAY 19th JULY AND HAVE A GO.

I'm now able to announce

That The Flying Squad then select Schedule has just been updated with a new Festival.

Dublin, Ireland. 12th - 13th September 2009

The Concern Stop Child Labour KiteFest is taking place on the cricket grounds of the Phoenix Park on the 12th & 13th of September to raise awareness of child labour and other issues that effect children especially in the developing world.

This is Ireland’s first International Kite Festival!

KiteFest brings kite flyers from around the world to display their brilliant kites. Other activities taking place include kite-making workshops, a Global Village & children’s entertainment.

The Flying Squad will be the only Sport Kite Display team, and going back to our roots in this our tenth year will be displaying as a Dual Line Team PLUS all our usual Revolution Choreographed Routines

We would be particulalry please to hear fomr any Revolution Flyers in Ireland so we ensure we get to meet at the Festival, please use the contact email address on The Flying Squad, then select Contact page

I have a distant memory of flying in the field adjacent to what is now the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

It was an organised event that does appear to have fallen off the radar. Which year was it?

I seem to remember that Tequila Slammers were involved later in the day... Paul Jobin was involved!

Just an update, thi sweekend is Margate International Kite Festival, for those that went last year will remember the Sun, Sea & Sand Weather forecast is already showing typical weather for The Flying Squad
