We'd heard there were some new guys who were doing alright somewhere around there so we decided to let them get some experience before we come over!
Actually I would love to come back to Washington, I came over for World Cup years ago and had a fantastic time with great people. The guys from Cuttin Edge kites have been good friends ever since. I have promised to bring my wife so we shall have to see what we can do.

One of the best festival sites I have visited, a very large WW 2 airfield, good wind from most directions.
an idea of how flat the local area is can be seen from these pics.
F/S have flown there before.

Anything happening in Southwest England on Saturday, June 27th? I have that day open during a week long business trip in England. Staying in Newbury, Berkshire. I know it's southwest of London.
Just asking. Thanks for any response.

Nothing planned that I know of but Newbury is pretty central for us southerners so we could arrange a meet up I'm sure??

There is nothing official on that weekend but it would be a pleasure to arrange a little fly-in. Maybe we can ask some of the locals to find us a nice field to play on. Depends if you're talking about the real South-West of England ... Cornwall! There is a fly-meet at Crantock Beach, just outside Newquay. I will be there

Steve Newbury isn't SW England, more South or South Central.
Stephen, if we were to get together we coudl alsways check Newbury Show ground, site of the OLD Newbury Kite Festival.
Has good East West North South links
Oh and if you fancy something different

Final CALL - Its the rebirth of one of the most famous Festivals this weekend.
This is where it pretty much started for me, nice site, nice people, usually good food.
Andy King on PA, The Decs, TFS & LoR (Loads of Rev's) Carl, James, Chris.
Some two line stuff.
Kite Society Site mentions a Clinic so come on down.

Very brave, watch the FA crew don't lynch you we know what they think of Rev fliers.Depends if you're talking about the real South-West of England ... Cornwall! There is a fly-meet at Crantock Beach, just outside Newquay. I will be there
although it is likely to be more 2-line orientated (ie FA Forum) but I will ensure the Revs get an outing!

I won't have a car but my company has a UK division in Great Shefford, Berkshire. A few of the staff were at Bristol, we taught two to fly a Rev and one purchased at the festival. So between the locals I know, or a taxi if necessary, I'd hope to find my way to a local kite fly.
Just wondering if you ever fly kites at Uffington White Horse?

Some of us do both!
Anyway most of them are OK, there's only a few on there who seem to think that flying a Rev is boring.. don't know why
