WOW! Sweeeet! This guy had gotten some killer shots!
For those who don't know Patrick, he's the stepson of Paul Dugard, who's been flying revs for over 20 years. Patrick has been going to east coast kiting events since he was a kid, and was famous for pestering people at festivals to let him fly their kites...including, for instance begging Lee Sedgwick to fly the big stack of Is...
One of my all time favorite occurrences at Wildwood was one Monday afternoon at the Rio Diner. I was sitting at a table with Dave and Sherrie Arnold, and across the aisle from us was another table with Lee, Sue Taft, Paul, and a few other people. Patrick, then in his early teens, came in, went to Paul, and asked for some cash. Sue responded with "He DOES have a father!" She had apparently always thought he was a local kid who just showed up at Wildwood...she had no idea he was a kiter himself and came along with his kiting family!
Patrick went on to work for Premier Kites for a while...and in addition to being great with a lens, he can fly anything you can stick in his hands...

You should have seen the camera he was carrying around, I would expect nothing less than fantastic shots
Now I wonder where the bikini ones went

Nice photo taken by John Arsenault.
This is a funny sport ... have you ever noticed that you can name most flyers by viewing their backside?
Cheers,
Tom

Well, at least in these pics I'm standing up. All my rock climbing pics are usually looking up my arse, or while I'm twisted, contorted and dangling.
And thanks John! I now have proof I was in a mega fly, and at the bottom of a circle!!!!! (Yet another thing off the bucket list)

Can any one count the number of lines in that picture?
A couple more by John Arsenault
Hi Jay-
Great shots... thanks for posting... 14 revs times four lines= 64 lines
Thanks, again, for a great weekend.
John, thanks for shooting them!
Hi Sherri-
Thanks...it's easy when there's beautiful skies and lots of kites and stuff to choose from!
