I hope this email finds you and yours all well - I personally am very much looking forward to the warmer weather!
Having began to sink my teeth in to WIKF '09, the first piece of info I'd like to share with you is re lodging.
Once again this year our host hotel is the Oceanic Motel located at 4600 Ocean Ave at the corner of E. Burke Ave, directly across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. A variety of room styles are available with rates - remaining the same as last year with no increase! - beginning at $248 for three nights. Additional room nights begin as low as $70 per night. Amenities include pool, pool bar, outside Jacuzzi and a cocktail bar. Call 609-522-6500 for information and be sure to mention you are with the Kite Festival to receive the discounted rate. Also, please note, while they are physically closed for the season, you may leave a message and they'll return your call within 1 - 2 days. When leaving the message I strongly recommend you let them know when the best time is to reach you at the phone number(s) you're providing. FYI, these rooms fill up fast.
We will also have a secondary / overflow hotel this year as well. I'm in the process of negotiating a discounted rate for kite flyers and should have that in a few days. As soon as I do I'll be sure to post that info.
We're doing some exciting & different things this year and as the plans unfold, I'll be sure to let you all know!
On a personal business note, I'd like to extend a sincere thanks to all of you who have attended this festival in the past and will attend this year & in the future. You all truly do make the long hours of pulling this event together worth it when I see you at the event and I truly look forward to seeing you all again very soon!
Warmly,
Beatrix

No tent, no bears. Air Conditioning, Flush Toilet, Shower, Microwave, Stove, Oven, Wifi. Electricity... All in my Airstream Trailer!
Milwaukee's a possibility, it's either that or Niagara.

Please be advised:You could have pitched your tent in my backyard... I provide electricity, flush toilets, pool, internet service, and no bears...
Not to mention... the Milwaukee Kite Festival... FEATURING iQUAD!
iQuad is scheduled to perform at the Milwaukee MOTS International Kite Festival (September 12-13th, 2009)...
Not at the Milwaukee FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL ~ MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND (May 23-24th, 2009).
I hope this clears-up any misunderstandings there may have been!
