thanks again everyone, will contact ben direct . . . . when i bought the indoor it was still all packed as though it had come straight from Rev - i bought it from Kiteworld - but as the packaging was all intact it seems very unlikely that the frame would have been changed and comparing it with sailor's the frame was different to both the 1.5 AND rev 1 race rods. . . . also, i don't own a any other race rods so i can categorically state i've not accidentally swapped the frames.

the confusion continues, i'll let you know if/ when i get an answer to this conundrum!

I believe that the original 1/8" (more closer to 3/16") rod was not labeled "Professional Use Only" but "Advantage 1.5".

Well, yes I think the very first indoor rods had the "Advantage 1.5" label, but the rods I got with my first Rev Indoor (the two skinny rods that I have are all that's left from this set) have the label "Professional Use Only"

Hey Marty, if it turns out that the aet you have are actually Race rods, get a replacement rod.

They are SUPER cool rods to fly with. Try them in a full vent in winds you would normaly fly a full sail with 4 wraps.

Then if you are feeling rich (who is just at the moment) get a full set of indoor rods for your indoor.

My suspicion is however if the rods you have fit your indoor correctly then they may just have been mis labeled as I think the indoors are slightly longer than 1.5's.

Your best bet is as you said you are going to do. Get in touch with Ben / Rev.

Let us know how you get on.
