Four pilots with one line each??

What about 16 pilots, 4 Revs, one line each, blindfolded, now I am getting silly. Please someone, tell me to stop.

I was thinking about this and it occurred to me something else that would be great fun to try.



Picture this:
Team flying.. with a twist.


you have the line up.. with the team caller holding the right side of the kite with his left hand, (his right hand holds a flask, of *coughs* coffee). the person next to him holds the LEFT handle of that same kite in his right hand.. and the left hand holds the RIGHT handle of the next kite... and so on ..

Since you are team flying, you know where both kites should be going... but you would be controlling one half of one kite.. and one half of the next kite...

The idea of four people, two revs seems more do-able than trying to fly with left handles in right hands, and trying to control two kites. I think that would be very difficult, and for me, probably a sure road to disaster.

Three of the four of us, Lynn, Amy and myself, have had a few minutes practice. It may happen for John today. That will give us four people experienced in this task.

Oh, I know that four or five minutes isn't much practice, but it's better than nothing. No?

Well, it happened for John. After the nine rev fly this afternoon in San Diego, many left the beach. So......I took John's right handle and we went for it.

WSIKF will be fun this year.

you guys are suitably nutz

We just had our first attempt at 1 kite 2 person flying (which we've been meaning to have a try for agessss!)

The wind was a little light but it sure makes you concentrate and is fun

Laura and I tried two kites two people adn instaneously decided that warm weather would be the first consideration if for no ther reason than we immediately screwed it up and didn't want the hassle of cold weather detangling.

On the other hand, we did try one kite, two people and with a little concentration found it readily doable.

TI will make for some good practice!

What a difference a day makes, yesterday was perfect,10-12 winds,sun,food! Today wet,foggy,no wind,maybe later on today. Yesterday was perfect for Jim and Lynn's RW and B vented's,like flying a feather.
At the end of the day Jim and I flew 2 on 1 kite. Keeps you on your toes, helped having a descent wind. Need more practice!

No pictures. Most everyone was gone, and Lynn was busy telling someone good-by.

Never thought about it, but John or I could have taken a picture or two. After all, we each had a free hand.
