Modified Rev Handles

I saw this modification to Rev handles somewhere a good while back on the forum.
anyway I thought "I LIKE THOSE A LOT !!!!!!!!"
so after much chasing about I got a fella I know to make me a prototype set up in stainless steel (handles with the black leaders on them are the stainless ones) very nice but a little heavy so had to have them drilled down the centre to lighten them up - also altered the handles in the process from 12" to 13"
The other two sets (yellow leaders) I had him make them in TITANIUM (very expensive stuff and not what you would call cost effective timewise either to make - but I'm worth it)
Titanium is very light and about 20% stronger than steel - so I am led to believe
Anyway I had him make me a standard set at 12" and the other set at 13"
I polished them at home and made the leaders up in fluorescent yellow (dyneema cored)
I think they look the PUPS NUTS and am chuffed to bits with them
VERY time consuming and expensive in material to make so not something you would do on a large scale
what do you think !
Happy New year to you all

If you ever decide you want to part with a set because you've gone on to furhter modify them, I'd be happy to give them a new home.

I fly modded Rev handles.(line comes out of the end) After all that time and trouble,,, today I got the line snagged on my watch ban
. Oh well anything can and did happen.
Lol, yea that happens to me a lot indoorsw, so I usually take my watch off and shove it in my pocket when I'm flying.

Very nice where did you get the foam from ?
The handles are genuine revolution handles
its just the ends where the triangles were that is cut off and inserts made
out of titanium (or stainless)

I did get some Hyperlon once from e bay but it's all gone now and cant find any more. The main prob is the imp to metric conversion

what would work better homade handles or handles that the kite comes with ?
I would say and I'm sure others would agree that the standard rev handles are very good
and many people only use these.
then there are others that make their own for whatever reason ie cosmetic,no snag versions, extended etc
and these too work very well
It all seems to boil down to the fact that you use whatever works for you !
hope this helps

I think the reason so many people mess around with the handles is because they can. You can do quite a lot of modifying and not effect the flight of the Rev. You can change the angle of the dangle and the length but I have noticed that the better looking and well made ones are very close the Rev originals.
Some of the handles out there are works of art.
