It's a real one. It may not have been 'official', but it was made by Revolution at the Revolution shop and bought from their office. I'll see if I can get some detail pics of it.Looks like a non-rev revolution, ie a home-built, without the 'revolution' logo.
I've seen this often, people replace the sail with their own designs.
but it does look sweet! (with the applique sail, backlight).

No worries, I'll take your word for it.
I have several Rev 2's and have seen TONS of home-made and official Rev 2's.

I thought it was a home-made when I first saw it too, but then I got the rest of the story.
It's been taken apart, as it needs a rip in the mesh repaired, but here are a couple of close-ups:![]()

Who repaired the Mesh? Revolution or a skilled sewer?
I know someone with a torn Mesh near the leading edge on and 1.5 sle, and he just LOVES the colors and doesn't want to give it up, ie replace it with a new sail.

That photo was just to show the sewing method and materials being the same as a factory Rev.

Are you suggesting that Rev are not skilled sewers?

The only thing that ever came out of it that I assume is possibly the rods. It had special rods which I think are now the Race Rods.john m i would like to know if you have heard anything else on this proto type you were talking about a year ago.. a little insight ??
The JB was such a big success that I suspect the rest is on ice for the time being. Not being a REV employee, I can only assume all of this.
