thanks for the post on the magic stix! I've been wanting to make a set. But it won't help to distinguish between Rich and Laura; they both use 'em.

<snip>

And this one is really special. To my knowledge only a few people in the world have one of these kites made exclusively for the Decorators team. The custom sail is designed by Jørgen Møeller Hansen, sewn by Martin Lester and finished by Revolution Kites. It is made from 100% Icarex and there are only two of these in existence that I know of (I believe that Ben has the only other one). This one may stay in my personal collection....time will tell.

Decorators - Yellow

Also, another shot of the custom handles that Ben is making that we just got in stock.

The 10 kites (Rev 1.5) were made in mirrored pairs so that the kite with the yellow flash on that side is completely unique.

We obviously have the other 8 kites with the other 4 colours in mirrored pairs.

An equivalent set of 10 (Rev 1) were made of which the 2 yellow kites were sold at auction to benefit the Bristol event 2008.

Thanks for the information Felix, I guess that makes this one we have here 1 of 1. Very unique as it is the only one in existence.

I may just have to keep this one for myself. The quality and craftsmanship is amazing.

The quality and craftsmanship are down to Martin Lester and Revolution Kites but the graphic is all JMH!

Very true, Paul... but we both use them. ...and then there's yours.... all of 'em with training wheels..... that's a lot of magic in those beauties!

Thanks, Carolyn... yeah, it definitely was a fun package to open.

Don't think I've ever posted a full-size picture of my octo-rev. This was taken at the '07 Cape Fear festival and the octo I'm flying up against is Bob -- the same kite that's depicted on the rev.

Bazzer does indeed rock.

Tonight I have received my new custom vented B-Series. Thanks to my lovely wife Barb  who helped me figure out how to arrange the colors to get the results I wanted, and to Brad for helping me get it. Also thanks to JB for the basic pattern that I altered and the great people at Revolution for making such beautiful and fun kites.

I posed it above my previously purchased non-vented which has already provided a lot of fun. Note the effective use of a SLE leading edge. Now that my quivver is loaded with the full and vented kites, I am ready to deal with almost any wind to get practice. Thanks to my continuing employment, practice time is very limited but now I have extra incentive to get out. I intend to get air time for the new toy this Saturday and will get photos.

Very nice, Wayne... :)
Enjoy. This Sunday looks like a perfect day for the maiden flight of your B'v. (if the forecast is accurate  )

Dude, I have a TOTL Spinoff in that exact same color scheme. It was my very first real kite (flew an Avenger UL and some diamond-shaped thing or other, Peter Powell perhaps?, before that, but they don't count). I've had that thing since 1988 and it's still as fun and as loud as ever. And now that you've shown me how cool a Rev looks in that color scheme, well, now I know what I'm going to do when the sails on my current SLEs wear out!

Should be a long time from now, since I barely ever get to fly, it seems. Hopefully, the whole world won't collapse or something before I need new sails. Then again, I suppose a great depression 2.0 would leave everyone with lots more time for kite flying?

Brian,

No available sisters, but I doubt you need one anyway. As long as the weather cooperates, you can meet mine (wife & Revs) on the 24th.

kairusan,

I guess great minds... I can't wait to see those colors in their natural habitat, the sky.
