Nothing on the calendar regarding the Treasure Island Kite Festival.
Are there other links with further information on the festival?

NO IT'S NOT! Yes, getting older is not for wimps, but the alternative is the real bummer! I think it's fantastic that I can't find things ... at least I'm still around to get frustrated.

Cheers,
Tom

FYI guys, it's looking better and better on the clinic...

Trying for an all day on Friday arrangement, $45 per person.

Will confirm in a separate topic when it's all settled. ;)

Tom-
That's an absolutely GREAT way of dealing with my "aging frustrations"... Thanks, I needed that!

Well, I can not do a friday. Just the weekend. So if thats the day we will not be able to make it. Sorry.

Could do maybe a friday morning thing but me and the brother-in-law have to be to work at 2. So we would still have to leave by noon.

Work a weekend or double-shift? Swap with colleagues? Gotta be creative - there's kite flying at stake! B)

Oh trust me I know. But I do not work weekends, unless there is a some kind of natural disaster going on. And with work and school that is 72 hours M-F. Trust me if I could find a way I would. This is one of the few things I have been looking forward to doing. Just hoping it was on a weekend.

Hummmm... :g: I have a Habitat build in Covington LA that begins on Tuesday, January 20th... If I can drive (680 miles) from Treasure Island to Covington and make it there by Tuesday... I'm on-board too!

When do people usually show-up? Early fly day/s, before the event starts?

I just booked my room for Thursday through Sunday.

The $89 rooms are gone but you get 10% off any room if you mention the kite festival.

Also, the phone number is 727-367-1961.

Mega fly... YEAH. <grin>

Will be a great place for me to try calling the grid, given decent wind. ;)

We had THIRTY SIX fliers in the mega fly last year (still the North American record), think we can beat that?

Dreaming big, the world record is still 54.
