Sentence should start with a capital 'N' Dan. :)

Ahum! Right, back (and sorry for straying) to why we fly and I am going to get breakfast.

PS-You won't get much better inspiration in your flying than Watty so you made the right choice there. But have you managed to spark the interest of any of your friends or family so that you have a flying buddy?

...havent had time in the past week to go out flying and the winds have been howling here on the east coast for the past few days and i would have gone ...

We've been having howling winds here too. The days the wind is good are the days I've been sitting at work and do nothin' but look out the window. On the positive side, it has given me time to think about the kite wobble when inverted and understand better the why and how to correct it. I'm hoping that having that stuck in my head can translate to my hands faster and eventually be automatic. I feel that stable hover is just around the corner!

What is kite flying to me?

It's spending time wih my husband doing something we both enjoy in our favorite place (the beach).
It takes all the stress away and makes me relaxed.
It makes me happy and brings a smile to my face.

It has given me a dance partner... that I can waltz or tango with and it never steps on my toes..

Kiting gives me something to share with my kids.

i know im willing to come; my father could be encouraged to go for a trip into RI, im 16 so i gotta work around school unfortunately. i would love to get together with other flyers and get some pointers. my father flies dualies so he would come and go hide off in a corner flying his prism...like usual. i always offer the rev to him but he persists on saying no...stubborn old man :kid_brooding:

as far as i know, there IS a kite festival in CT.
i think it's in May (before my migration to NE from Taiwan)

at least two rev flyers i know in CT
Doug Coats (one of the 60 yr old charlie brown)
in Wethersfield
and Carl Burg (i am not sure the spelling and his town)

if you are a member of kitelife, you shall find their information or send an email for contacting them.

both are very kind and helpful to the newbies.

and if you go to Brenton Point, there often is mega flying going on (which i just watch, sorry scottie)
loads of flyers hanging out there, especially on the "no-event" day in July....
love, as if you have never been hurt before.....

i'll have to give them a look up. i usually end up flying at savin rock with a couple of the connectikiters, and also with a few people who i handed the handles to and hooked into kite flying. im usually there now lol. i know wethersfield is an hour and half-ish ling drive and i know im not willing to drive that far right now with the price of gas and my little income... story of life i guess :censored:

but the hour drive is worth it dan. Maybe we can figure something out and split the gas money.

it would be nice to meet other rev fliers and everything.
