I wonder if they will ever talk to us mortals once they are all rich and famous??? or maybe it will lead to world tours with sex, drugs and rock & Roll (no change there!) ending in a big iQuad press conference to announce their break up .... followed by some failed solo careers (JD starts a boy band/team?) .... and then a triumphant comeback tour a few years down the line playing to all the now old fans (hang on we are already old) ..... etc etc

Could make a good movie ;)

(nods knowingly): they crossed so far over the line, that the line is a dot to them :blue-confused:

Steady on chaps - we're talking kites and GMA - not Jerry Springer!

We can get Springer-like, given enough tequila and a little good wind. <grin>

Hope you guys have fun on the show, gonna be at work for that, and I'm not a GMA type guy anyway. But it is good publicity for the community in general, as long we don't have a power kiter try to jump the falls were doing good! lol

I'm watching in Illinois and as of 7:30 CDT, I haven't seen any kites yet.
One of the announcers just said in amazement that "the water goes over the falls at 32 feet per second!"
Gotta laugh, since the tea that spills off my table onto the floor travels at the same speed and increaes each second.

wait! breaking news!
7:35--we can see iquad doing a follow over the falls. It's a shot from a helicopter and non-kiters wont know what they saw. They look great though, and I'm jumping up and down and saying "look! look!" to my wife.
Way to go JD, Adrian, Steve and John!

7:39 a short peek just after the lady looks thru the telescope.

Looks like great wind too.

Cue the music "lets go fly a kite"
Awesome footage and quote "the number one improv kite team in the country." Did they say "iQuad" though?
Ball and burst, twister, to the edges, reverse back.
John's keeping all the moves small and that's working well--all the kites are staying in the camera view.

oooooh, they look great! I'm so proud of the boys!

Wooo Hooo!

Crikeys!!! :)

What a challenging venue for team kiting... 90 degree wind shifts, both vertically and horizontally, every 30-90 seconds, with holes throughout the window, and occasional strong gusts.

We were on standard B sails, 3 wrap centers with race frame wing tips and verticals... 60', 90# lines.

Flying at Prospect Point, during the big shoot we had no more than 12' to 15' of space in front of us (for the fliers), maybe 25' feet wide to stand in, with the aforementioned wind conditions... No gaps around our standing space, lined 15 deep with trees, bushes, audience, camera crews, TV personalities, light posts, light reflectors, etc, a major chunk of our window was eaten up by it... In my 18 years of flying, I've never seen a more difficult hour of flying, let alone as a team!

I'm prouder than words, my boys all flew really well... A testament to their pilot skills.

No way any other kite would have been able to work as the Revs did.

Team photo with Diane Sawyer after the shoot, local news time, a great outing. ;)

Writing on iPhone now, will catch up later.

Cheers, thank you so much for your support!!

If anyone gets a recording, please let me know how I can get one for the team too.

The show is over. They closed with a shot of a couple who got married live on the show.
Would have been better with a shot of iQuad, right?

Wish I had a big screen TV and cable.

Again, great job guys!

We arrived around 5:45a, flew more often than not, from around 6:30 on to a little after 9. ;)

I should add to all the obstacles, of course, the giant freakin' river behind us, as we're flying just 3 feet from the railing.

Did we get any face time, or just kites?

Just caught the 8:01 segment here on the west coast, very cool!

Yes

At about 8:12, during the interview with the young boy, John and Steve could be seen clearly from time to time. Never saw JD or Adrian.
