Well after a couple of hours of thump thump my buddy and i finally got it figured out (20yrs 2 line flying) and got a couple of hours of flying in on his EXP. what a Riot im looking forward to getting my own exp or sle so we can learn more together. We both fly model helicopters and aircraft so we are up to the challenge and looking forward to it . this forum and links helped me unlearn some of the 2 line traits so thanks to all

and it,s much cheaper than crashing a RAPTOR or a FUTURA    eh boomer.   no main blades or booms to bend on a kite..   And the fuel,s a bit cheaper too !! .       wufer

seems to me the main difference is the SLE rods against the three wrap rods...the ifly group all fly with 3 wrap rods. So the 1.5 may be better looking but as far as flying I don't think you are missing much and will be ready to fly with IFLY  8)

im leaning toward the sle and as for crashing the helis im sponsored so i get a little help in the crash department. but it doesnt happen too often. we only have one kite shop up here that i know of to deal with, online stuff accross the border is a real pain (id rather support locally anyway) but i should have my own soon and then get out and practice tons ......

Howard, the difference between the 1.5 SLE and EXP, is more than just the leading edge.  The 1.5's sail is made of a much higher quality fabric, which also retains color much better than the less expensive EXP sail. The difference in the sale fabric makes a big difference to the handling and durability of the kite.
It's like comparing silk and cheesecloth.
