The multi-color graininess (look at the parking lot) is digital noise.
The big dots are... maybe a dirty lens?

If the dots are light rather than dark, then they are particlulate (water droplets, snow, dust, etc) in the air illuminated by the flash. Water droplets are especially good at reflecting the flash back to the camera. If they are dark and very unfocused, they can be something located on the lens.

Ahhhhh Ok, Digital Noise seems about right. There was a storm front approaching (as we all know now) and the winds were howling so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some fine water drops in the air as well. Never saw that in pics before. Learn something new everyday! :?

yup.. that is the wildwood beach cam.. it does take a nice shot ... word around here is by 2010 we will have 12 diffrent beach cams all over the area

Wasn't too long after that shot was taken that the skies opened up for the night after having had a blustery and steady 25 plus keeping the storm to the west. And boy oh boy did it ever rain hard that night!

Who are the other fliers here? I can't make out the colors of the kite. I MIGHT be up in the air at that point, but I don't know. Cool shot though.

Hard to get color from that picture but from what I can make out it looks like my lime vent and Laura's midvent for sure. I can't make out the other two.

Yeah, when I was "improving" this picture, I forgot about the rainbow and concentrated on the people. If I go back and try again, I may be able to bring the rainbow up a little better. Don't hold your breath, though.

Wayne, the picture you labeled "Sunday Lineup" sure looks like it was taken on Saturday, unless there is KAP involved. It's from above the beach (i.e. the boardwalk), into the wind, and Sunday the wind would have been coming from the boardwalk. The clothing also looks like Saturday.
