Ya gotta love helping new fliers get started. My pleasure Jeff. A very fun and windy day. Soooo we wet under the wind and under water. I can't wait to see the pictures Jay got. Lets do it again as soon as these stupid hurricanes get past us.

The Most Fun was Playing in the Pond..

We had a Blast Yesterday and Thank you Danny for Taking 400 Pictures with my Camera.. LOL
I am sure I can get a Couple of good One's out of them for Sure.. Just Kidding Buddy...

In Total We had 20 Folks come out and hang throughout the Day..
Not bad for a Non Event Get together..
Although we did miss Chef.
Just hate when work gets in the Way of Fun...

Oh boy the morning after a day of howling winds and no sunscreen. I think i have sun poisoning or very close to it. I've had cold chills most of the night. I also have about 6 coats of aloe on . I've lived in Fla all my life you would think i would have learned . I figured it was going to rain since the weatherman was predicting %70. Didn't think I would need it. 6 hrs later I was cooked.
Going to go research this problem and see if theres anything else i can do.

It was great meeting you guys out there yesterday. I'm the one that was getting worked over by my rev I in that wind. It's supposed to fly in winds up to 25 mph and I now know that it will, although my arms are a little sore today.

It was excellent seeing several revs up at once.

I would love to see the pics that were taken. Are they posted anywhere? If not, can someone get them to me?

Looks like it was a really cool time! Happy Birthday, to all, and any other congrats that are in order. What a great way to spend a birthday.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Jeff... or should I say red . Just jok'n! I burn all the time, even after being in the sun all summer . It's worth it, though,to fly. On the especially sore spots, use hydorcortizone. You can't use it on your entire body at once, but it really helps!

Good luck with the hurricanes down there; it's been REALLY blowing up over the past few days.

Jeff how are you feeling? I cooked myself last winter up here in DC after
a day of flying. It was the same thing cloudly and boy did I fry!!
The wind makes it feel cooler and before you know it's tooo late. When I
come down to FL I put on sunblock every few hours.

Do you have a date for the next one yet?
I hope I can make it. It's great when you
can fly out of the back of your car.

Jay ( I admit me too) was going nuts because that fountain was about 125 feet out and we had 120 lines. Jay even started to wade out a bit but the drop off was too close to land. No one has mentioned the alligator! I would tell you about someone dive-bombing it but it could be considered harassing an endangered species so enough said .

Jeff said it was his first time out but he did so well in those winds I find it hard to believe. Vented on order yet?
Ed must have arms of steel too control that Rev I like that. I bet they are a bit longer today than when he started.

Any time anyone wants to fly in O-town let me know!

I'm finally feeling almost normal except for my face. The vented should hopefully be orderd in the next couple of weeks. I'm also looking at a sul possibly do to my normal flying site avg about 3-8mph. I checked on ebay for some of those shifter handle like Lito had that he turned into kite stakes. My search only pulled 800+ shifter handles.
I had a blast meeting everyone. I was surprised myself with the rev control i got . I had flown dual lines before but felt liked I clicked with the rev more than I ever have with a dual line. I guess time will tell.

A few years ago we did a fly at a farm with a bull. Well, someone got a kite in the bull
pin. It was a nice bull and he liked kites.......lucky for us.

Sounds good to me. The weather is the only thing to watch. Hopefully this thing will blow by. We may just get a day or two between hurricanes.

I didn't head down there because there was no wind to speak of on the north side of Orlando. Well, more like that plus the US Open and Auburn game both being on tv.

Did you guys still get out and fly?

It seems like that field should usually have at least a little bit of a breeze. I'm really curious as to whether there was decent wind down there.

On the one hand I don't want to hear that I missed a great day of flying. On the other hand I would be happy to hear that no wind up here doesn't mean no wind down there.

We specialized in kite hearding yesterday . We managed 4 people yesterday, Mr Denny ,Lito, myself and my cousin who i was hopng to put on the end of the lines.The wind was 0 to puffs of 3mph. I guess we all took off around 3:30 and called it a day. There predicting 5-15 today . As of now the trees around my house aren't moving. We talked about waiting till 2weeks from now to try again.

If you email me, I will look out my window and tell you if it is windy at the field on any given day. Especially since I run to the field just about every morning. I can give mowed grass reports and field conditions (I found that out the hard way August 30th). Let me know which days you want to fly!

I witnessed the kite herding. It wasn't pretty. Nice day to sweat and get a tan, though.
