iQuad indoors

I'm hoping the city helps out.
Whats the current largest indoor festival world wide? Might help if they could maybe claim Albany has the worlds biggest indoor kite festival in the world. Tourism.
If I could get it going, would there be some teams (iQuad or others interested in flying)? There would be plenty of easy on the pocket book housing and dining here. But I won't be able to help out much other than maybe a discount on housing if theres enough people willing.
If I can get this going I'll do it so there will be a compition worth indoor points along with the festival.
IF, I can get this going I'd want to work together to put together a date that everyone would agree on so this would be worth it.
If the city doesn't get involved then I'll have to come up with a few hundred dollars for rental of the space. Just curious as to how many would be interested.

Let the city know that this is a non profit event to see if they will donate the use of the building to you. The big issue that you want to present to the city is that you will have insurance on the event. They want to be sure that their butts are covered. Check with the local chamber of commerce to see if they have any funds available. Don't be afraid to mail out letters to big business owners asking them for money.
If you need to pay a rental charge go around to the local business owners and ask them to help you sponser your event in return you can offer them advertising during the event.
Check with the local kite clubs to see if they are willing to come together to come up with some funding.
Just some ideas... Keep asking questions and you'll get it going!!
