Heading out to Vegas for the next few days and want to know if anybody has some good spots to fly in the area. I won't be
throwing all my money away at the Casinos, more likely at Wind Power Sports and Wind of Change, but
at least I will be going home with my pocket lighter and my kite bag heavier... Thanks for any info...

Can't tell u where to fly there but by all means touch base with the local guys out there. They'll certainly steer you in the right direction.....who knows, maybe you'll be buggying by the time you get back!!!!

there is a kite club that meets on Friday nights at the rec center just 9 miles from the strip.
The normal Friday night fly at Silver Bowl Park starts around 6pm and goes to 11 when the lights are turned off.

Glad to have you out here with us. As mentioned we have a local fun fly at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl soccer park. The "un" official time is 6:00 pm to around 11:00ish pm every Friday night depending on wind conditions of course. The winds here lately have been great, usually a little stronger during the day but smoothing out at night. We also head out to the lake beds for buggying pretty regularly. Usually on the weekends. You can get in touch with the flyers on Friday night to see who is heading out over the weekend. I am sure you can catch a ride with someone if that is something you are interested in.

Vegas was great... Until I got some sort of food POISONING 
. I made it out to Kent's place and picked up some sweet kites, a HQ Shadow, and a Prism Micron. I was going to head out to the Friday night fly at Silver Bowl Park, but then I got hit with some sort of bad stomache thing and was in bed all night!!!! In VEGAS no less... Well I'm back home early, but ready for Asbury Park Sunday... Sorry I missed you guys flying at Silver Bowl, Kent thanks for all the help, the cool kites, and the ride. He's a great guy and his shop is awesome, stop by if you in his neck of the woods...

I've often heard that the food in some of those buffets just sits around all day and longer.... 
On the subject - we've just been putting together some initial plans for another road trip over to Vegas and then all round the Colorado Plateau in October - did it back in 2005 and it was awesome - would really love to sneak the rev into the luggage this time
Would be cool to meet up with some locals, but we probably won't actually be in LV long - just first night/last night really...
