How about a Rubik Cube or similar puzzles like Mefferts Megaminx, Tetramix or Skewb.
I thought about doing that actually! I don't want to ruin my vintage "cubes" tho. :? Never saw the Megamix before, that's cooool!

Ah yes I remember wanting one of those bullet types, I now just use a pool ball (no13)on a long stainless spike I think I got it from someone on the FA forum

I drilled two holes in one snooker ball and put two,10inch stainless in the holes.

The best bit about snooker is when one tries to play it like one would pool - e.g. whack the white ball as hard as you can into anything else (e.g. other players, the wall etc.) - this makes the 'pros' really grumpy, which is a whole extra sport in itself!nice shiny ball played in a game that goes on and on and on, on a table.
