I too would strongly advise against attempting to repair the spar.

Too volatile, and it could endanger your sail.

Use your 3 wrap spars. If the wind is too high, switch to a vented. We also use 3 wrap in the vented Revs. If the wind is too strong for that, we slide a 2 wrap leading edge in above the 3 wrap.

We now use the big SLE rods for staking our tomatoes. They make great pea shooters too.

If the wind is too high, switch to a vented.

Tell ya what, send me a vented 1.5, I won't even ask for a B series, and I will pay for shipping! :P

This made me laugh as my own Dad does the same thing! He's always telling me "you can't fly a kite without a tail", Snickers!

That's sweet ;)
I'm hoping someone got a pic of me being dragged around yesterday with a kite with a tail ;)

It just shows, it doesn't matter what age you can still share this great hobby and learn together :kid_content:

Just so everyone knows, I am NOT attempting a repair to the broken spar. I am going to procure a replacement one way or another.
