It's Friday, that makes it officially two weeks to go!!!!!

We can probably include IQUAD in the megafly without even having to ask. How many IQUAD members are showing up?

I'm in,
I think we can get 30 flyers easy and If the Iquad boys will show the grid pattern that Felix proposes we can do it with style, lets hear from them how to organize it? :confused!:

There will be a few WOWster quad-heads up there. I won't try to name those who will attend/contribute to the mega-REV fly though, 'cause I know I'll both miss and offend someone. My conservative estimate? figure half a dozen EASY!

I thought I read someplace, that nine I-quad members are coming to Wildwood.

I've never flown with them, so I hope I can be allowed to join-in their festivities.
(I'm still working diligently to own my stationary hover though!)

I'd like to be the one furthest away from the caller too,
that way I can say I didn't hear 'em & do my own thing occasionally,
at the back of the rumba line so to speak (HA!)

Paul, they'll probably let you take second from the end. Monkey always gets the cleanup spot.

Most of us have to work Friday, after that I'll have a 4 hour drive to Wildwood. I hope to make it for the night fly though. So if we want a mega fly, I hope we can do it when we are all there so we can break some records. Saturday or Sunday works for me. How about a night time mega fly????

Saturday is a competition day,
so a few us will need to attend to that aspect I'm sure. Either as crew, judges or competitors.

It might be worth your time to see some of it,
particularly since the sport kite comp field is directly behind I-quad's area anyway

I'm sure the non-competitors will be holding our places in line until our return.

I heard that 8 iQuad members are going to be there. Drew and I will be there, so you can count us in for the mega fly (though, he doesn't have 120' lines, so we'll have to get him a set).

A night time mega fly would be cool, but would be a quick mess. YIKES!

Happy flying to everybody. Now get off the computer and get a kite out! hehe

In another thread, Felix posted a link to a video that shows the 36 in Uchinada, plus a look how the cubed approach works.

Essentially, its a grid, in this case

I suspect we'll take a stab at playing with this in the 'wood

Think of 36 fliers as four in the centre, twelve in the next square and twenty in the outer square!

25 would be one in the centre, eight in the next square and sixteen in the outer square!

16 would be four in the centre and twelve in the outer square....

I haven't got round to figuring out all the rectangular configurations but putting two 25 blocks side by side seems to be a realistic proposition. I look forward to hearing how you get on in the 'wood!

Felix I think you need to fly over here to coordinate! My head hurts already from trying to figure this out!

Heh, I had felt the same way, as Felix and I have discussed this before in email but, I can tell you from experience, it goes together much easier than you'd think. You'll see!

It really should be easy but the fliers 'must' be able to hold their place steadily and not be spooked by being locked into the configuration.
