well just to get it going i went there today for a few hours after work .. i just got in and man what a nice breeze .. t shirt shorts and some cold beer what a great afternoon .. now i head over to the lobster house with the family for great seafood dinner

Lucky you, I love that place too. Well I got some practice on the floats, on the 0-4 mph winds at the ball field today. Make sure you eat a lot tonight, put on some weight, because sounds like a lot of SLE's will be broken out next week.

I am getting totally revved up :rev_clockwork: :rev_clockwork: :rev_clockwork: :rev_clockwork: :rev_clockwork:

I hope I can handle my part in the mega fly!!! That's going to be so cooool to see.... and to hang with so many with the same passion for these kites....wow :sq-thumbs:

Besides 120' lines what are the skill level requirements to fly in the mega fly? I'd love to join in as it sounds so cool. Just don't want to muck it up for anyone.

Obviously we are going to have to organize this since there will be so many participants. I was thinking that it should happen after the mega fly. Everyone gets in line in order of their position number from the mega fly (less Antman of course). Antman will obviously be in a stationary position (if not soon in a fetal position). We all move past and deliver our "thwacking". There should be a maximum of five hits per person, if you want more you will have to move to the back of the line so you can take your turn again.

I figure on the boardwalk they will be saying "why is that large circle of kite fliers going round and round with one guy just laying there, it looks like some sort of ritual". :kid_devlish:

Interesting idea Alden. Perhaps a touch kinky, but what the hell! Where is the nearest international airport to Wildwoods?

We need to have someone up there say in a real deadpan tone "we TOLD him not to walk through the flight line!" :kid_devlish:

Bring the whole crew.No need to bring anything but more bodies. We'll have enough rods there to use.Closest Airports to the area would be Philadelphia(phl)1.5 hours away,New York (jfk) 2.5 hours away.Plenty of places to Bed at.By the way Wildwood is located Between New York and Washington,D.C.

Other then that,Just another day in Paradise........... :kid_smartass:

a world wide ritualistic beating with an SLE. ahhhhhh the caring community of kiteflyers.
or the secret cult of the darkside.

New Iquad fundraiser. Step right up and whack ANTMAN with an SLE. $1 dollar for 30 seconds. or $5 dollars for an unlimited weekend. In this situation I find the SLE out performs all of the other 1/4 inch rods.

Finished all my real work and now the countdown begins.
