Jawnee, love that RevII, especially like the location. I just had to ask are you sure the skid marks were on the beach? If I got drug along unintentional I would have had problems elsewhere. ;)

Try Kiteworld Choccy, they dont list Rev 2 rods in thier spares section but I am sure they could get them without problems.

Consider going for a travel set as they break down smaller in case you need to pack them in a suitcase for holliday.

Other than that plenty of places in the US.

Not sure if Big Bri is still over there, worth asking him??

Just had a look on Theresas site, she has the Rev 2 Race frame listed as 46.02 plust postage and taxes of course.

AWOC is cheaper as it works out to about $50 but that is not Race.

I would think if you look at the price of a 1.5 set on Kiteworld you would be in the right ballpark for a Rev 2 set.

Chiming in on this older thread.... I recently picked up my first vented B-Series and I'd have to agree with the majority. It is my favorite when the wind is sufficient to fly it. I have wanted one for years and finally decided to pick one up and I love it! I just love that full vent smoothness! Now whenever I go back to flying my standard I can't get over how much more twitchy it seems. Mid vent, I believe you will be mine soon enough! :blue-cool:

I've got Race Rods and 3 Wraps for my standard. Just noticing now by comparison how much more twitchy it can feel versus the full and mid vent... but you're right, I do like it very much when I'm running the Race Rods. Now I just want that extra sweet spot the mid vent offers in between the two. ;)

Gotta say my favorite of the main line Rev's is the Vented 1.5B series with 4 wrap if the wind is up. It reverses beautifully and is nice and crisp on precision moves. If you are asking about all Rev's - I love inja Eyes bysp, responsive, with dream reverse flying - very hard to beat. Elliot Shooks web vent is also major league outstanding with the same attributes as the Ninja Eyes, and if the wind is up, the Extra Vents are very forgiving. yUpu look like you have been flying precision all your life. Reverse octagons are child's play. But I love them all, just match the kite to the wind conditions.

B2 ;)
If there were Pro versions available I'd buy myself Pro B2's right now before I even thought about getting a Pro 1.5 set.

But I love all my Revs and they all have a purpose where I'd pull a specific one out the bag over any of the others .... a sure sign I'm FAR too sensible and need more :)

Agree with all who say favorite determined by wind with some overlap:

A few to about 12 mph: Zen

8 to 20 mph: B-series (don't own B-pro)

12 to 24 mph: B-series full-vent

18 to whatever mph: B-series Shook mesh

I use the "flag" SUL mostly for special occasions. It has about the same range as the Zen plus a few mph.

If I could own only one kite and had to cover as many wind conditions as possible, it would be a B-series mid-vent with 2 and 3 wrap frames doubling the frames in heavier winds. Or maybe with just the new race rods based on what I have heard about them.

Favorite line is 120 feet 50# or 90# depending on the wind and if I am feeling lucky.

They all fly a little differently!

What's in your bag?

Recently fallen back in love with my standard sail 3wrap. In the right wind there is nothing quite like it for true response . Well maybe. I have the standard pro with RRs on order.
