How many of you would be game for another West Coast Rev Clinic in Seaside, Oregon on July 5-6?

Fourth of July weekend, enjoying fireworks and kite flying on the beautiful Oregon coast... Who's in?

==

RSVP List, so far...

- Andy K
- Dave B
- Terry W
- Jared R
- Melinda A
- Shannon K
- Jerry T
- Mike T
- Lori T
- Jim H
- Pete P
- Amy D

If you're listed, I've already got your info... That's 12, we're all booked up!

$100 per person, or $175 for couples, in cash if at all possible, or checks made out to iQuad.

That covers the whole weekend, a set of iQuad trading cards, and entry into the B-Series drawing (yes - doing it for sure).

==

Click here for a Google map showing the two flying locations!

Will add our Saturday night dining place to the map as soon as we choose one. ;)

==

Just added the rough clinic schedule, look for the DOC file in this post. ;)

Now if you had one in Vegas that would be different. :)

I would be there in an instant John, only it is my Wifes birthday on the 4th July.

Oh yes, and it is rather a long way for me.

I am sure you will get some interest.

Okay, let's throw a twist on things... ;)

In lieu of a clinic like the last one, what about a specialized one-on-one clinic with less participants?

In theory, this concept would give 8-10 participants 4-6 hours each of direct coaching with either Steve or myself over the course of the weekend and lots of team flying during the last part of Sunday... Also, a night fly at the Seaside promenade during the fireworks.

Of course, with less participants, we'd be looking at a slightly higher registration fee (probably $100 per person), with your name going into a drawing for your choice of either a vented or standard B-Series... Chances of winning would be much better with less registrants too!

Please, let me know your thoughts on this asap.

It'll be great fun, hope you can do it. ;)

I take it that means personal training would be a plus?

I thought I'd get killed when I even mentioned it to my wife (considering that before I went to the EC Rev Clinic all I heard was "every holiday you take off and fly kites without me"). I told her this evening and she actually said "You can do that if you want to". It wasn't even one of those loaded "wife" answers that means you are doomed no matter what you say at that point!

So, I have to look into flights and lodging to see if this is affordable... What airport would I need to come into?

Alden, you'd fly into PDX... It's only a 90 minute drive from there to Seaside. ;)

If I can get at least 4 people in on this, I think it'll be a go.

As for lodging, I'd check Orbitz for some cheap hotel rates, and check the location on Mapquest.

Training would probably be held at Sunset Beach, about 5 minutes north of Seaside... It's more isolated, TONS of room and generally better wind.

Also, just confirmed with Hathaway that he'll be available for training as well.

Hathaway? How formal!!

I have to check with my brother, he used to live in Lake Oswego, now it's somewhere in Portland. If I can use his place to spend say Thursday and Sunday night at I might be able to swing it.

And today I secured a meeting room at the place where we stay so John and crew can do some pre-beach instruction Saturday morning.

John, where's a link to the video of you and Monks flying on the side of the condo?

There are two Best Westerns in town that usually have good rates. And the Shilo is another option, and it's right across the street from our place.

I'd book as soon as you can, as the 4th of July fireworks display is a BIG hit and the town fills up. Fantastic fireworks display Friday night.

Great news on the room T, thanks for that... It looks like we've got two confirmed, just need two more and I'll make it official!

Seems to me that the Royale Motel was decent, and a little less expensive as well.

Well, I thought I could work this out (especially after receiving permission from my wife). I looked into flights and hotel rooms and I think this will be a little out of my price range. Grrrrrr!
