Arctic Flight kite-flying event
Where: Cuddy Family Park, Anchorage AK
A dual fly in conjunction with the Alaskiters and the MN Kite Society. It is support of the Alaska Wilderness League and the 50th Anniversary of the Alaska Wilderness. The connection is the migration of birds that fly from the tundra of Alaska through Minnesota and beyond.
It started with Tom receiving some paper kites made in China at a Earth Day event in the cities at Wishes For the Sky. These kites will be taken to Alaska with him on 03 July and be flown in Denali then be part of an event in Anchorage at 5PM.
Then the kites will come back and fly at an event in the Cities 11 Dec which closely marks the 50th anniversary of the Alaska Wilderness.
